One day, Chris Schade was driving along and saw a creature lying on the ground. He pulled over and found a baby squirrel… abandoned.
No mom, no dad in sight. So Chris picked him up and wanted to take him to a rehabilitation center. Unfortunately, because of the events of 2020, many of them were closed.
So, like the compassionate person he is, Chris decided to fill in as the squirrel’s surrogate mother. On the day he opened his eyes for the first time, Chris named the little squirrel Acorn.
