Most of us want to stretch every penny as far as possible. Historically, the “store brand” moniker carried somewhat of a negative connotation. Among other big box stores, Target has done a fantastic job of changing that perception.
Not only do Target’s store brands save you money, but they do so while maintaining the same degree of quality you would expect from many legacy brands.
Here are some of our favorites, in no particular order:
7. Market Pantry
Target’s Market Pantry brand provides cost-effective options for consumers that would typically be shopping for brands such as Kraft, Heinz, Smuckers, and other well-known brands. While you may assume that the store-brand foods don’t taste as good, you’d be wrong. In many of my own experiences, I cannot tell the difference between Target’s Market Pantry brand and the legacy brands I’m accustomed to (probably because many of the Market Pantry products are, in fact, premium brands that you’re used to, but with the Target label and a lower cost!).

6. Goodfellow & Co.
If I had to compare Target’s Goodfellow & Co. brand to another clothing line, I’d say it reminds me the most of Levi. The boys in have always been Levi guys, but in recent years some of them made the switch to Goodfellow & Co. They haven’t been disappointed. The fit and quality are great – I forget sometimes they’re not wearing their Levi’s. They’re also about half the price with all of the style.
Denim isn’t the only offering. Goodfellow & Co. also has their own line of mens’ grooming products, including razors, skincare, and other items.

5. Wondershop
I have a confession to make – I love Christmas. 2020 in particular has been a year in which some holiday cheer was much needed, so I splurged on Christmas decorations at Target. Their Wondershop products, in particular, have been absolutely delightful.
My favorite item is the Wondershop Animated Climbing Santa – which is absolutely adorable. We’ve also purchased the Tinsel Dinosaur and Tinsel Llama, and love them both!
All the Wondershop items we’ve received are reasonably priced and we’re extremely satisfied with the quality.
4. Boots & Barkley
Whenever I go to Target, I have to get something for my dog. In fact, it’s become such a ritual that when I come home, my dog somehow knows I went to Target, and immediately starts shoving her nose in my shopping bags looking for her present!
Although Target has pet products from your favorite pet food companies and pet toy companies, like Barkbox, they also carry some of their own pet apparel products under the Target Boots & Barkley brand.

3. Smartly
We have a lot of people in our house. Lots of people means lots of laundry, dishwashing, and other household chores. As such, we’re always looking for ways to cut costs when it comes to detergents, hand soaps, paper plates and other household essentials.
Target’s Smartly brand is a lifesaver. The savings really add up and I’ve never been dissatisfied with their quality.
2. Everspring
Similar to Smartly, Everspring is another household essentials brand, but with a environmentally friendly twist. Launched in April of 2019, Everspring is one of Target’s newer brands, encompassing everything from laundry detergent to candles (both of which I’ve tried and love). All products are produced using recycled materials, natural fibers or other bio-based elements.
1. Hyde & EEK! Boutique
Ok, I have another confession to make. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I literally begin decorating in August. Yes, seriously.
For that reason, as soon as Target puts out their Halloween decorations, I purchase a few and display them immediately. I find myself consistently purchasing items from their Hyde & EEK! Boutique collection. This year, my favorite item was a Tinsel Ghost. It was absolutely adorable.
Sadly, like Wondershop, the Hyde & EEK! Boutique disappears (just like a ghost) when Halloween ends. If the link below doesn’t take you to the Hyde & EEK! Boutique, it’s because it’s off-season. Check back closer to Halloween!
