As many of us know all too well, sometimes the company of animals is preferable to that of people. Usually, when we say this, we’re referring to our dogs or cats. However, James Blackwood has taken it to a slightly different place.
Blackwood has made friends with the local raccoon population in his local region of Nova Scotia. Although we know raccoons are wild animals, Blackwood has figured out the key to their hearts… food!
He’s made a lifestyle out of visiting with the raccoons on dark & cold nights. Or shall I say, they’ve made a habit out of visiting with him? And when I say ‘they’ – I don’t mean one or two. I mean dozens. Yes, dozens and dozens of raccoons show up at James’ door waiting for dinner.
As you’ll see in the video, Blackwood uses different delectables to entice the raccoons to hang out with him. So comfortable have the raccoons become with James, in fact, that they even sit with him, let him pet them, and take food right from his hands.
For many of us, this looks like an absolute lifestyle goal.
